Question of the day: Given Rep Term XVI's commitment to sustainability, what are you planning to do this term to be more sustainable?

"I'm doing all my laundry in cold water and doing it in larger loads to save water!"
-- Emily Ioppolo (sophomore)

"I'm trying to remember to turn off the lights in the costume shop when no one is there."
-- Hannah Compton (junior)

"I've been using my own cups for water instead of wasting the ones in the Gizmo and throwing them away."

Rep Term Chicago Trip

A behind-the-scenes look at what goes on when the Costume Shop travels to Chicago to pick out fabrics and costumes for the shows! Filmed and edited by Miranda Loeber. Featured: Hannah Compton, Paul Lurenz, Franzi Mayer, and Margo Shively.

Question of the Day: So far, what have you done in Rep Term that you've never done before? Tools you've mastered? Things you're thinking about that you've never considered before?

"Super excited to be playing the pit orchestra. I've dreamed and dreamed of doing this and now, yay! I'm also teaching a lot, which is something that I've always been terrible at. Luckily, I have Lena to teach me how to teach and she's damn good at it. So I think I'm getting better. Here's to experience!"
-- Franzi Mayer, Senior

"I really didn't think I would be given opportunity at Knox to learn animation academically, and I am really excited that I have gotten this chance to learn alongside a professor in a subject we both care about."
-- Marina Capizzi, Senior

Week 3 is underway...

...and we're all finding solace in cuddle time - even Prof. Liz Carlin-Metz! Luckily, we have resident Rep Term pup Jubilee to keep morale high.

Question of the day: Has Rep Term started out exactly as you thought it would? Or are things a bit different than expected?

"Honestly I didn't know how to think of it. I expected various degrees of stress and intensity, and I think that I gauged that pretty well. I can already feel a difference in the way that I think about my movements, thanks to Conservatory (is anyone else unable to stop thinking about their posture, or is that just me?). All I can say is that it's only the first week- and I'm exactly as busy as I thought I would be. It's the best kind of busy, though."
-Alyssa Gill, Junior
